Mobile Menu Toggle vs Link

I’m trying to style a vertical menu for use as a mobile menu in a modal. My menu is large enough to include sub-menu items. Currently the main menu items act as a toggle for the sub-menu, which means that there is no way to link to the main menu pages themselves.

What I would love to see is a way to separate the toggle control from the page link using a side icon.

Is there any way around this issue?

Hello @Wendy,

Thanks for posting this here. Great point.

I’m sorry this isn’t currently possible.
I don’t see a workaround available instantly, but we could add an option in the menu block to only trigger the dropdown on the icon click instead of the whole item in the coming weeks.

I’m running into the same problem so it would be great if this could be fixed!

@GM-Mike, Using the Nav block, if you specify a link for the parent item, this will get added to the title of the sub menu when it opens on mobile.

So if that covers your use case, switching to the Nav block instead of the menu block is a potential solution.

@StrangeTech Thank you very much!

Haven’t played with the nav block but will definitely give it a try!
