Taxonomy terms don't show on front-end if wrapped in div

I have a query grid of CPT posts.

This works on the back-end:

But don’t show up on the front-end:

If I move the paragraph up to the same level as the “Tag” div, then it shows properly on the front-end.

There isn’t anything rendered on the front-end, so it isn’t a styling issue:

Indeed, I have been able to reproduce this issue on my end and can confirm it is a bug.
Moving this to confirmed bugs.
