Softhyphen in headlines or paragraphs

Hi all, it seems that the Cwicly headline block is not fond of using shy in headlines. When adding a soft hyphen to a Cwicly headline block in HTML view it breaks the block (This block contains unexpected or invalid content). The german language uses a lot of pretty long compound nouns so using soft hyphen for breaking words is very common. Why is it not possible to use shy in the Cwicly headline or paragraph block?

Best regards,
Thorsten

Hi,

It seems it is not a problem with any specific &XXX; HTML entity, but code editing simply doesn’t work with Cwicly blocks because of a Guntenberg bug, which is a shame and very very frustrating:

(actually NOT FIXED)

Looks like a code block is the solution for now.

But indeed, we desperately need a way to edit Cwicly’s heading/paragraph HTML content for line-break customization. A website looks so cheap when lines are badly broken.

@yankiara Thank you for your explanation. I hope the Gutenberg team will fix this bug soon. You are so right about poorly looking line breaks from a typographic and grammarly point of view.
