Search filter to search for post title only?

I have been told to post this here for the discussion from Facebook group.

How do I make the Search Filter to search for post title only? Currently at the frontend when our user use Search input, it searches the whole post instead of just matching the keyword to the post title only. Thanks.

if can give a option to choose(for example: title ,content, tags, category, ACF filed or ALL by default ), that will be fantastic, :fist: :fist: :fist:

@Araminta any updates for this? or any other alternative way to achieve this for now?

This requires specific logic on the query itself.

Adding it to Feature Requests as we do plan to introduce this option, but currently don’t have an ETA for it.

If I’m not mistaken, you can already modify search queries with hooks provided by WordPress.
