New paragraph

Default: insert a Cwicly paragraph instead of Gutenberg paragraph

Great proposition. Indeed, this is certainly something that should be provided.

Although, the forward slash (/) command that comes with the default paragraph block is preferred by some users…

I think that an option to select the default block added will be the best solution here!

Great feature, really enjoying it.

Will the Cwicly paragraph block ever support the ability to paste blocks, which were copied with the Gutenberg copy/paste feature?
I know it’s not recommended to use it, but I am aware of what to consider.

I’ve seen it already supports the forward slash feature to insert a block so the only reason why I will still stick to Gutenberg paragraph block for now is the lack of the ability pasting other blocks.

I know this feature has been added and I’ve used it but now I can’t find it on the latest update. Any idea? Defaults | Documentation

EDIT: found it, it’s the cog wheel in the left sidebar.

Hey @bobbymcg.

You can find it here:

Glad you could solve it on your own @bobbymcg.

The docs are a bit outdated in some areas, especially after the recent UI change.
@Louis briefly touched on this topic in one of the last lives, and there seems to be a plan for this as well.
I hope that it will be possible for every Cwicly user to contribute, maybe something like a Wiki system.

I’ve also seen that the current platform might be an option, as soon as Cwicly is officially open-source, but I haven’t looked into it any further.

Hello @Marius,

Thanks for bringing this up.
Indeed, the docs need attention.

We are planning to have them completely reworked from the base when we land in the repository.

I like the idea of having the possibility for Chicly users to contribute to the docs also.
