My Account section of Cwicly settings page is missing and domain not registered to license when installing

Description:

The title adequately describes the issue.

Current workaround for new sites is to install version 1.4.1.6 and then upgrade.

Environment info

  • WordPress version: 6.6.1
  • Cwicly Plugin version: 1.4.1.8

@Louis, Just making sure you have seen this as it is a hassle when installing licensed versions on new sites.

Hello @StrangeTech,

We don’t currently register new installations as the license checks have been removed.
Is there a specific reason you would like them to continue?

On one of our client sites the Cwicly logo was displayed (VERY LARGE) at the bottom of the page on mobile after we developed it.

This seemed to be a watermark from the site not being actively licensed, so from what you say I assume there was still one or more leftover license checks in 1.4.1.8.

If you can verify all watermarks are removed, then we have no need for the my account area any more :+1:

Hello @StrangeTech,

That is quite strange, we have never put a watermark on the frontend for unlicensed installations, just the impossibility to edit on the backend.

Would you kindly send me a frontend URL if you still have this?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for clarifying @Louis. Inspired by your message, I went back and investigated further and it turns out the client was experimenting with Cwicly and added two headers from the cloud library and didn’t delete them, which is why the Cwicly logo was there.

Apologies for the spam, this is a complete non-issue and was nothing to do with licensing.

just asking @Louis : for those who bought appsumo licences, which included ACF pro, do we still have that feature ? or licence doesn’t work anymore for us either ?

I can confirm that ACF Pro still works for those of us who bought the license, as long as you use the version of Cwicly downloaded from the My Account page (not the free version).

Hello @pomilo,

Just to confirm that what @StrangeTech said is correct. ACF Pro will be included for AppSumo users when downloaded through the Cwicly dashboard or updating the plugin directly.
