Local font rendered well on the front end, but not in the editor

Hi!
I have set two local fonts.

Both looked well on the front end, not in the editor.

Front end

Editor

I think it’s a bug?
I see the same after multiple page refresh.

Environment info

  • WordPress version: 6.6.1
  • Cwicly Plugin version: 1.4.1.8

Hello @jornes,

Thanks for the report and apologies for the trouble.

Could you let me know where these fonts have been applied? Globally through elements or classes?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Louis
I set the local font at the global setting.
Global > Typography

Now I can see the heading rendered as correct font but the body text is not until I added a class to the element.

It looks like the font will only be rendered correctly in the editor when I assign a class to that element.

Way to replicate:

  1. Fresh site
  2. install local font
  3. set global typography for B, L, H1-H6

I see the font rendered well on the front end, not in the editor(without a class). Until I add a class to the paragraph/heading then choose the font for the class I created. Only then the font rendered correctly after that.

Hello @jornes,

Thanks for giving more details here.
I can confirm that there is currently an issue with the font selection with global styles.

This will be fixed in the next update with the improved global styles.

My apologies for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience on this one.

Cheers,

Hey there,
also facing this issue. It seems like the fonts are delayed somehow. Whenever I visit the global tab the fonts load in the editor, but until that isn’t done it’s not loaded. Not sure if the spoken update has already been released or if it’s still in the pipeline. Just wanted to share my experience too
Cheers

Hello @jornes and @Wolfgang,

Thanks for your patience on this one.
The issue should be fixed in 1.4.2.
