Custom Styles not applied

Description:

I’m trying to style pagination numbers completely with custom CSS in the advanced tab. When nothing is set in the usual way e.g. Primary → Text Color, no custom CSS is processed and therefore not visible in the Editor or the Frontend. I’m going this route, because paginations and their numbers are tough to style with cwicly settings alone.

Here is what I’m editing currently:
Blog Startpage Template → Component → Query → Query Pagination → Query Pagination Numbers

I’m not entirely sure if this bug exists just in this particular usecase, but will keep my eyes open. :eyes:

Step-by-step reproduction instructions:

  1. Set custom CSS in the advanced tab wit .blockclass
  2. Deactivate every setting in the other tabs e.g. Text Color
  3. Save Changes → confirm missing CSS on frontend
  4. Activate Text Color
  5. Save Changes → confirm processed CSS on frontend

Environment info

  • WordPress version: 6.4.2
  • Cwicly Plugin version: 1.3.4.5

Hi @oppi,

Thank you for taking the time to report this!

I have been able to reproduce this error on my end, and can confirm it is a bug, although the custom CSS is applied to the backend on my end.
We’ll be sure to investigate further and have a fix as soon as possible.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I’m sorry to hear that styling pagination numbers through the settings is proving challenging for you.

Could you possibly share specific details about what additions or features you would find helpful to streamline the styling process?

Thank you in advance.

It’s not working as intended I suppose, because the stylings chosen in cwicly are not reflected in the editor. This makes it quite tough. I could open another Thread about that if you like.
It could be that my initial report has something to do with that.

Thank you for the precision @oppi.

In fact, this was an issue in the previous version, that should now be fixed with 1.3.4.6:

Kindly let me know if this is resolved on your end.

As for the custom CSS, I apologise for the confusion.

This is actually an expected behaviour, considering that no styles are added to the pagination block, meaning that there is no active class.

To add custom CSS, without adding any styles to the block, be sure to force the class using the following button:

I hope this helps clear up the confusion.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions on this.
