Copy/Paste Styles

Hi!
I have a question.

I tried copy/paste the style from one block to another.

But I stuck here. I have no idea what to do when showing context “paste”.

What to insert there?

Am I missing anything?
When copy and paste the style, does it copy/paste all the global classes the other block has (just like Bricks does)?

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thank you!

When the dialog appears, just press ctrl + v (when the style is copied)

this item copies the class name)

Thank you for your reply @DenisKozeev

I tried the same. When I pasted the global class name there, I don’t see it working. No way to save or to confirm. When I click on the “x”, nothing happens.

Refer to the screencast.

I checked when adding a global class and it really doesn’t work, this is apparently some kind of bug. Because if I copy the class into Stylesheets then I can paste the style into the second button in the usual way.

I also noticed that global styles are not shown in the quick code

reproduced in video

I found a quick code for global classes (right click on the class)
You can copy the style through it and paste it into another element

Hello @jornes and @DenisKozeev,

Copying styles from the navigator currently applies to the block itself, not the global class you have selected.

The paste modal that appears allows us to make sure that all types of environments can support a copy/paste feature.
A lot of builders actually don’t support copy/paste when you aren’t using HTTPS, which can come as a complete let down when working locally, which is why we have the paste modal.
Any copied item in Cwicly is sent to your clipboard, and a simple CTRL + V should do the trick.

Please refer to the following on how to copy global class styles and local ones:

This might have been brought up before. This experience really needs to be improved, thank you for bringing it up.

Thank you, I came up with the same tests as in the video. I’m testing on a local server and didn’t know there were any special features.

For me, copying through quick code is even more convenient, as I can see all the properties that I am copying.

Thank you @DenisKozeev

I shall check this out shortly. I am recently making a site for my client. I hope Cwicly is my go to option for this project.

Thanks @Louis

So, copying styles from one to another doesn’t copy/paste all the global classes but the block itself.
