Best Cumulative Layout Shift Practices? CLS

Hi, I was wondering what good practices there are in cwicly to achieve a low CLS score?

  • Icons
  • Images
  • Text

I have major issues when setting an icon to a fixed size. It would load for a few millisecond on the whole screen in spite of the fixed size.

Noticed this on the Cwicly homepage from the beginning as well.
Didn’t investigate further, happened here and there when testing as far as I can remember.

Did you make any CLS related tests yet?

Hi @Marius, thank you for the reply. I only have a general knowledge of how I should use html and the corresponding parts… without creating to many unnecessary components :sweat_smile:

I don’t really know how to do that.

Could you possibly tell me if you’re using a cache plugin or something in the sorts?

Hi @Louis,

I am testing the WP Compress | Image Optimizer Plugin (as CDN).
By deactivating it I do not have that issue anymore.
