Adding a Tailwind Arbitrary Variant class to a Shell causes it to no longer be applied

Description:

Adding a Tailwind Arbitrary Variant class directly to any block works perfectly.

When you convert this into a Shell, it no longer has any effect.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions:

  1. Add one or more arbitrary variant classes to a block (e.g. [&_p]:p-4)
  2. Note that this works perfectly
  3. Convert to Shell
  4. Note that the classes are no longer applied

Hi @StrangeTech,

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing trouble with this.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue on my end.

Could you possibly try reproducing it on this demo instance?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks @Araminta. Will do in the next day or so and will let you know the result.

Hi @Araminta,

Apologies for the spam, whatever caused this issue must have been temporary.

We tested multiple times on our instance and it was repeatable on the day I reported it, but now we are no longer able to replicate this either on the demo instance or on our original instance.

My best guess is there was some form of caching or state persistence that we were experiencing on that day.

Thank you for following up with this, I am moving it to General as it is clearly a non-issue.
