When editing a colours’ name, we can’t press the Space Bar as this seems to toggle a colour swapping functionality with the arrow keys in the inspector’s colour list. In addition when Space is pressed the second time, the colour modal closes and the order in the inspector panel gets reset.
I expect to insert a space character when naming colours.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions:
Open the Post Editor/Site Editor
Go into Globals → Colours
Open the colour modal via it’s swatch in the inspector
set focus onto the Name input
navigate to the position where you want to enter a space character and press space
press left or right arrow once → active colour gets moved
hit space again and the modal closes, colour position gets reset
Just as an addition: It’s actually possible to insert a space by copy pasting the " " character manually, so it appeared as a bug to me.
On another note, i may create a new thread for that if you prefer, i get issues when navigation through input fields by arrow keys occasionally, where the key stroke gets block. It might be a correlated issue.
