Hello
I’m very excited for the components section in the upcoming live stream.
- I was wondering if this is announcing it will launch in the next update and if so when you think that might be
- Are components going to allow us to basically create our own Gutenberg Blocks? From reading a post from Nov last year from Louis, it sounds sort of like it will. Create the global design but edit local probs on each instance… so basically our own blocks?

Hello @grantambrose,
We’re thrilled to hear that you’re as excited as we are about tomorrow’s live session!
Thank you for bringing up these questions, as they are indeed the main topics we plan to address during the live session.
Rest assured, once the session concludes, @Louis will provide a more detailed answer here.
If you have any additional questions or thoughts, please feel free to share them with us here or through tomorrow’s live chat.
See you there!

Hope it will be some kind of properties and conditions for components. This will destroy the Wordpress as is xD

Agreed!
An example of where I could use this in my website right now is the following:
- I have a custom block I created with ACF for my affiliate products
- I insert this into the page then select options for the block (as seen on right where I select the product and whether it’s an outgoing link or I want to link it to the review on my website)
It would be incredible if components allowed us to select options on the component (i.e. change the query, if a query was inside the component) but the design etc is handled from 1 place in cwicly
fingers crossed!
I’ve tried a lot of other page builders / theme builders this week and none could do it. Would be so good! I would be able to convert all the ACF blocks to cwicly native and build many more much easier
