Post images in querygrid as pop up

Hi,

I made a CPT to show a portfolio.
I don’t want to go to the post themselves but I want them shown like sort of an photo album.

This all works. But when I click on the photo, the photo opens in the current screen.

If it is possible I would like to see that photo opened in a popup(modal?)
Is this possible.

That would be a solution if I can use a gallery to read out my CPT.
I think that’s another way to archief what I want.
