Hi. I’m trying to link my tab using the tab id. But when i click on the button, it doesn’t open tab of that specific id. Also tried using url site.com/tab/#tab-id and it doesn’t work as well.

I apologise for the confusion but upon further investigation, as you rightly pointed out, this is already possible!

Be sure you have activated the ID of the tab you want to open from your button (see screenshot).
