I am redesigning a website that uses BuddyBoss and I would love to use Cwicly to design and code the site but I am hitting some roadblocks.
Can I use Cwicly with the BuddyBoss theme?
Hi @paulshadwell,
Welcome to the community!
Yes, Cwicly can be used without the Cwicly theme.
I understand that you may be facing some challenges in using Cwicly with the BuddyBoss theme, and we would be glad to help.
Could you kindly provide us with more details about the issues you are encountering? This would enable us to better understand the situation and provide effective solutions.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Araminta,
Thankyou for the quick response.
When I try to create Template Parts, like a new header, I get the following message when I start the Cwicly Editor:
The theme you’re currently using isn’t compatible with the website editor.
When I try and create a new page and set the global settings in Cwicly I get:
An unexpected error occurred in the editor.
I may be asking too much of Cwicly in this case and I have considered starting from scratch but all my efforts so far have failed as I can’t even get the basic menu to appear correctly since it only shows as a bulleted list when it is supposed to be horizontal.
Thank you for the clarification, @paulshadwell.
This unfortunately suggests that the BuddyBoss theme isn’t compatible with FSE, meaning you won’t be able to take advantage of templates and the Cwicly Themer.
Do any errors appear in your browser console log?
Thank you in advance.
This would suggest either an SSL or HTTP authentication issue.
