Is there a way to display the alt text or the description of an image below it? I can’t find anything about this.
Hi @Jonas,
Sorry for not responding sooner!
This isn’t currently possible but sounds like a great idea!
Maybe by having the alt text and description available as dynamic data.
@Louis will have to figure out the details of how the user would precise exactly which image the data is to be pulled from.
Moving this to planned feature requests.
Hi @Araminta,
thank you very much for this update!
This would be very handy indeed. I like to use this feature for post templates and the featured image for example. So my client can give the featured image a description that is going to be shown below the image.
200% agree and upvoted this.
This is important. Instead of manually adding the alt text using the attribute, every image should have it filled in automatically. I just noticed that the alt text was not automatically populated.
The image should be like this by default (the correct version):
P/S: I have to correct this; the normal images did populate the alt text as per the screenshot above—only the images from the ACF fields don’t populate alt text as a normal image does.
This is the HTML output of the image when the source is the ACF field.
