There are no obvious steps to reproduce, it just happens when selecting a code block.
I can share a staging site where this is occurring though, I will send the details to you.

As mentioned on the other bug, this only happens when the browser is forced into quirks mode - this could be caused by a WordPress notice in debug mode or by a plugin adding bad code to the page.
We only experienced it on that one site and removing the PHP notice fixed the issue immediately for us.
Thank you for confirming that, the quirks mode does disable features and is out of our hands.
@Marius, I’d be grateful if you could let me know how you came about to experience the same issue in case there is something else at hand.

Hey @Louis.
After following the conversation, it appears that the issue I faced might be slightly different.
It happened on my other device on a local installation, and I didn’t encounter it somewhere else. It also happened only once and was not reproduceable, although it didn’t disappear after several page reloads at first. I want to add though that no additional plugins were installed, however, some custom code might’ve been in play.
I am withdrawing from this topic and will create another report, if I face it again. Hopefully with some more details then.
