Animate on scroll

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere (either FeedBear board or FB group) that AOS will be replaced at some point.
Is there any news about it?

I am curious because I have in mind to also take advantage of AOS as scroll trigger in combination with relative styling (using .aos-animate), so it would be good to know what the plan for this feature is.

I am trying to reproduce the hero section as described by @Araminta in her video but can’t find the AOS selector.
